Thanks ekawaaz….In the blogging sphere, if you don’t know these words then you are n00b
(I was n00b before creating this list)
Hi Shashi
Well I wa n00b but not any more becuase of your post:)
Shashi, you can check this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Internet_slang_phrases. It has a big list of internet slangs
You can learn these up also!
Shashiji, how is asshole an internet slang? Also, I thought geek in tech circles meant someone cool? I mean, on Web 2.0, it’s cool to be known as a geek, right? Very nice list, though. I didn’t know the meaning of some of the words.
Also, that whistling pappi that you have – is that its entire body or just the face? :p
LOL nice.I knew most of these thanks to all the experience I’ve had on Yahoo! with my friends
LMAO is my favorite
I thought lmao was imao earlier cause the “l” when not capitalised looks like an “i” in some fonts but it was just a matter of time.
There’s another one they use sometimes.
ROFLMFAO
@ Ruhi..
I checked this list and its too long. I think I have almost included common words…thanks btw
@ sk..
Asshole is slang word. checkout here….
Ya..Geek has a different meaning in techno circle…but it confuses me between Geek and Nerd
and no more puppy please…
@ ish..
LMAO is also my favourite..because if you use lol it dosen’t always mean you are laughing out loud…sometimes people use lol without any sense also (so if someone comments me ‘LOL’ it mostly means my post is boring…)
@shashi,
Of course it’s a slang. There are several other slangs. What does it have to do with the internet, though? It’s not a “Common Internet Slang Word” as far as I know. Rather, it’s a common slang word. It has nothing to do with computers/ the internet. Do you catch my drift?
“and no more puppy please…”
Why? Just when I was starting to have some fun..
Thanks sk ..then what should I do? Should I remove it from the list? Also can you explain me the difference between nerd and Geek? …..
) I think it’s a whole body….(or should I do reserch whether its whole body or just face??)
My Whistling pappy (nice naming sk
shashi, I was just wondering.
But I guess you’ve listed them separately under slang words. I don’t think tech people use the word “nerd”. In tech circles, geek means someone who loves to play with technology etc. It’s no longer derogatory. On the other hand, “nerd” still has negative connotations.
“or should I do reserch whether its whole body or just face??”
[...] Shashi has a nice post that educates a layman about all the common internet slangs. I thought of taking it a step ahead and demonstrating the practical use of the word “a**hole”. Here is a video that will teach you all that you need to know! [...]
